Tossa de Mar is an enchanting coastal resort on Catalonia’s rugged coast, the Costa Brava, in northeast Spain. On your map, it’s about 90km north of Barcelona and 120km south of the French border. Lloret de Mar is not far away where the nightlife is out of this world!

Tossa is steeped in history, overlooked by the turrets of a 12th century walled town, the Vila Vella (old town), which blends seamlessly into the new town - a maze of narrow winding streets dotted with boutique style shops, cosy bars and a multitude of restaurants and tapas bars.

Tossa has no high rise buildings, which means the outstanding views into the mountains and along the coastline are completely unspoilt. There are three superb, clean, Blue Flag beaches and a wide choice of water sports and sporting activities both on the coast and inland.

About the Costa Brava

This coastline really does have it all: picturesque, tranquil, unspoilt fishing villages sit back to back with lively resorts that offer rip-roaring all-night-long fun.

The Costa Brava’s distinctive rugged coastline is peppered with fascinating coves; wonderful, clean beaches perfect for sunbathers and water sports lovers; captivating caves and remarkable underwater rock formations providing a haven for scuba divers and snorkellers.

This extremely popular and easy-to-get-to area of Spain offers hours of blissful Mediterranean sunshine; a friendly welcome and lots of daytime and night time activities with something to suit every stag’s desires be they innocent…or not so!

How to get there

Tossa de Mar is just a 40 minute drive from Girona airport and several airlines offer flights from various locations in the UK and Ireland. RyanAir is the most popular option with several low-cost flights running every day.

Barcelona Airport is a bit further away from Tossa but offers a wider range of flight options. Transfer time to Tossa is around 1.5 hours.

Once you arrive, Aunty Andrea or another driver will meet you and drive you to your accommodation. From then on your stag party is safe in Aunty’s capable hands: your host awaits! Prepare yourselves…your stag weekend itinerary is about to begin!
